Wedding Dress Delays Due To Wedding Industry Surge

According to the BBC News, couples are now facing an 8 month wait for wedding dresses to be made. Now on a normal year we expect a 9-12 month waiting list, but the difficulty we are facing is that couples want to get married sooner rather than later. In the last 2 weeks we have had an astounding number of new enquiries for months March-April. Normally wedding season doesn't tend to start until early May, so as you can imagine, there is a huge demand for everything else.

With sample dresses flying off the shelves, couples are left with no alternative but to order wedding dresses in, however with an 8 month wait, it isn't possible for everyone to do. Designers are becoming increasingly worried about what's to come in 2022, with a struggle for keeping up with demands now, it's going to get even more difficult in the next year.

Not only wedding dress designers, but wedding accessories are becoming a problem to source too. With issues Post-Brexit, items are being held up at ports which is leaving brides frustrated. With weddings falling into the winter, there is no clear break in site for the wedding industry.
