Henry Gordon Selfridge arrived in London in 1906 from Chicago with his heart set on opening his dream store. He had a revolutionary vision of retail and theatre which is still evident in the store today ‘Where everyone is welcome’. It was also a trend setter for window dressing as stores in the Victorian era didn’t usually have the windows elaborately dressed, the shop keepers simply stood in the doorway to tout for business. Selfridges is not simply ‘a shop’ It is an experience; Selfridges is the only store to have won best department store in the world.

Selfridges has long since been associated with weddings and is a go to destination for gifts and now it has launched its very own wedding service! BUT this is a limited offer only! Launching this summer guests of up to 20 will be able to tie the knot in the gorgeous Selfridges wedding suite. Just the Two of Us: you are looking for understated and ‘one of a kind’ this package is for you and four guests and you will start the morning with hair and make-up at the Beauty Concierge and Daniel Galvin salon, or men’s grooming at Acqua di Parma Barbiere. The vows will take place in the luxurious Wedding Lounge before enjoying a delicious Wedding Breakfast Hamper. The wedding reception will then take place in the VIP screening room at the The Cinema at Selfridges where you can settle back and watch a film of your choice with plenty of champagne.

Earth Lovers Wedding: A more earth conscious choice, this package is for you if you are looking for AMAZING but leaning towards a more earth friendly wedding. Ahead of the day you will have a one-to-one appointment with RESELLFRIDGES pre-loved fashion and accessories experts who will help you to find the perfect vintage or rented wedding outfit for your day. On the day, you will have hair and makeup as detailed in the previous package (using their Project Earth labelled products) Again, the ceremony will take place in the Wedding Lounge but for 20 guests, and then moving to the Brasserie of Light for a delicious three course meal with plenty of organic wine and champagne.

All Out Extraordinary Wedding: This one’s for you if you want allllll the glamour and a parrrtyyyyy! You will start the day by getting all glammed up in the aforementioned salons, you will move on to take your vows in the extravagantly decorated Wedding Lounge before heading to your private dining room at Brasserie of Light for an incredible three course meal for you and your 20 guests. Once you have finished your meal its party time! You can dance the night away with a brilliant four hour set from your choice if the Selfridges in house DJs.
