A Timeless Country Surrey Wedding

Good Afternoon lovelies, we want to share with you the vision of A Timeless Country Surrey Wedding. Most of you may know that Surrey is one of the most sought after locations for weddings. With hundreds of different venues to choose from, you can create your ideal country style wedding in a timeless Surrey Venue. From stately homes, to hotels, to castles, there are many options. We've created this blog post to give you some ideas on how to style a Timeless Country Surrey Wedding, so let's get into it...

Surrey Wedding Venue

Understand Your Vision

It can be very overwhelming when it comes to planning your own wedding, however the trick really is to get organised and understand your vision. It's far to easy to pin lots of ideas to your vision boards, with 10 different themes, 6 different colours and you end up becoming confused. We see this regularly when our couples choose to go for a full planning option, which is where we come in to help. As your Surrey Wedding Planner, it's our duty to make sure we work together to create that vision you have in mind.

Make It Timeless

When we say make it timeless, what do we mean? Well timeless means that the concept doesn't date, it's classic and elegant without any heavy trend influences to your Surrey Wedding. Think about concepts that include neutral colours, suiting your venue colours. Don't go against the colours of the Surrey Venue itself and instead work with it. When choosing hire items and props, ensure they aren't dated and fairly simple. Some examples of these could be glass tea light holders. They never go out of fashion and always look elegant.

Use Hand Dyed Silk Ribbon

We love a bit of hand dyed silk ribbon, you cannot go wrong with this in styling your timeless wedding design. Delicate colours are usually available for this kind of ribbon and will keep in line with the neutral tones. Don't use bright colours as this will clash in the design concept. You can use the hand dyed silk ribbon for your order of service, menus and even place cards. The possibilities are endless.

Cotton Rag Paper

We do love a cotton rag paper stationery design, ever so classic and timeless with very delicate colours used. These are great to use as main wedding invitations as well as on the day wedding stationery. The thing we love the most about cotton rag stationery is it gives that more luxury feel to a wedding design, they are however costly and it's worth looking at your budget to ensure this works. You can even have your Surrey Wedding Venue pressed into the cotton rag paper!

Neutral Bridesmaid Dresses

A common trend is actually ivory bridesmaid dresses, keep it neutral and go for delicate tones that are timeless. Some of these colours include a dusky pink, baby blue or even a sage green. Keep your bridesmaid dresses a classic silhouette, including maxi dresses which fall to the floor. Short dresses tend to be more popular through wedding trends and we would recommend avoiding these to keep your Surrey Wedding timeless.
