Wedding Colour for 2018 - Ultraviolet Purple
Hanging Floral Installations
Get yourself some copper arches and get your florist designing those hanging floral installations for you! This has got to be one of our favourite trends and it totally works. Trestle tables work best for achieving a more modern look, it allows the copper arch to sit perfectly on the table and the florals to hang down. It's worth adding in a few festoon lights to set the mood in the evening. If you're designing a country house style wedding, these will look exquisite with your table settings. Use lots of greenery and put subtle ultraviolet elements in there to bring the theme together and make your wedding look completely stylish.
Transparent Elements
We are going to see a huge change in wedding trends this year with transparent elements coming into light. Imagine glasshouses and turn that into an idea. Clearspan marquees becoming the new thing to do creating a much brighter space for your guests. Why have a covered marquee when you can have transparent marquees showing a bright blue sky during the day or the stars at night whilst you dance with your loved one. Minimalist themes are playing a big part and becoming ever so popular, so these transparent elements are right up your street if you're a modern couple that strives for all things clean and simple.
Mixed Brass & Coppers
Yes! You can have so much fun with brass and coppers. If you are styling a country house themed wedding then these will work anywhere and everywhere. Why not have mismatch candlestick holders on your wedding trestle table designs? Add in a few tapered candles in purple tones and you will be ready to go. If you want a more modern twist on things, terrariums are still working within the trends this year, especially as succulents are in!
Creative Stationery
Couples want more and more individuality, and I don't blame you. Who want's to have the same old wedding as the next when we can all be different? Stationery plays a key part in any wedding and it's those details that make them your own. The two hottest trending items are handmade paper place names featuring hand calligraphy with hand-dyed ribbon and agate place names with beautiful calligraphy details. What more could you want? If you are designing a country house themed wedding, whether minimalist or not, you might want to go for grey handmade paper place names with simply black calligraphy and white ribbon. If you are wanting to be with the in trend ultraviolet purple, then go for amethyst agate place names with gold calligraphy.

Natural Elements
It's all about what we can do to be environmentally friendly and be one with nature. I absolutely LOVE handmade paper, it has to be one of my favourite stationery details of this year. Agate place names or sea glass place names fit into this section too. Bring in the florals and lots of them. Hanging from copper arches, hanging from ceilings, different types of flowers too! Succulents are so on trend with the ultraviolet purple wedding theme, ask your florist to source you some succulents to add in with your trestle table flowers. Combine with terrariums and those geometric details to make your wedding theme really stand out.
3D Florals
Want a romantic themed wedding? You are definitely going to get that this year with 3D florals being the big trend for wedding dresses of 2018. Minimalist gowns with beautiful 3D flower details are dominating the catwalk and making their way into this years wedding designers shops.
