A Pineapple Styled Wedding - Chapel Barn Sussex

WE LOVE PINEAPPLES! They remind us of the sun, tropical paradise destinations and they are an absolutely fabulous fruit.
When we came together with the concept of a pineapple styled wedding, we couldn't help but bring it to life and work with some amazing suppliers to create something truly different for your everyday bride. Especially with this unpredictable weather we have here in the UK, bring some bright colours to your wedding theme! We thought, colours and black and white stripe details. What could be more on-trend than this?
Photography by Paloma had snapped up the opportunity with us to create something special with these images. Ensuring we kept those bold colours in these wedding photos at all times. It was important for us to capture all of the details as these were the extras that pulled this look altogether. We shot at the beautiful Chapel Barn Wedding Venue, which was just the perfect location for our modern inspired tropical shoot.
Colour Pop Occasions were our creative stylist. Julie and Hannah were so perfect for this shoot. You give them a concept and they just work with it to create a true reflection of that theme. It was important for them to bring decor items that reflected the pop-pink colours we were using along with those tropical brights. When they saw our black and white striped table runner, they were in love and couldn't wait to get started. They chose to use vintage inspired table crockery along with gold cutlery to bring these themes together. The gold tea lights reflected so well with the theme, we even had some pretty fairy lights on the tables to match our oh-so-wonderful lantern installation.

Our florist Amanda Jane Flowers worked so well to create our pineapple styled table arrangements, huge tropical bridal bouquets and those all important hair florals for our bride. She brought along some huge palm leaves that worked wonders for one of our couples detail shots.

Don't you just love a tropical inspired wedding cake? Yes we do! It was so important to get a cake designer that would be able to use their creative skills and bring us a masterpiece. Sugar High Cakes definitely didn't fail to do this. They wowed us with their tropical inspired cake design which incorporated all of our colour themes. Looks at those beautiful mosaic details, all hand painted by the talented Dee from Sugar High Cakes.

We had to get some pineapple stationery in there, we found it quite tricky to find a stationery supplier that offered a template with this already. We came across Nancy from Mojito Paper Co. on instagram after the wonderful #pineappleweddingstationery was used. It was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better stationery style.

The Marshmallow Bar worked their ways to our tummies in this shoot. They featured mango and lime marshmallows with strawberry basil marshmallow pops. Such a unique alternative to your everyday wedding snack.

Now onto our beautiful models Melodie Gibson and Liam Wakeford. Melodie's hair and makeup was designed by the incredible Arabella Hewitt Hair & Makeup. Arabella wanted to ensure that we still achieved a bridal look that would be used, with a bit of colour to grab those pink tones. Arabella used a pop pink lipstick which sure did look fabulous. Our Brides hairstyle was a French braid that contained beautiful flowers to compliment the look. Our wedding gown was made by Louise Rose Couture. Louise specialises in bespoke bridal gowns and this one in particular was a tea-length lace bridal gown featuring a pink belt to match our brides pink shoes. You couldn't have asked for more!
Our final thank you goes to Co-Ordination Catering Hire that provided us with their rustic trestle table and chiavari wedding chairs.
