Manor House Wedding Venues - Southdown's Manor

When we had the chance we just had to visit the beautiful Southdown's Manor on their opening evening back in March. We were absolutely speechless when we started getting closer to the venue itself. The drive through the South Downs was a beautiful view for a lucky bride or groom on their wedding day to see. When we arrived at the venue itself we were greeted with the most stunning of landscapes.

The venue itself features a beautifully converted Manor House overlooking the South Downs. It was originally built as a two-storey house towards the end of the 19th century. For many years the Manor House was used as an independent school. When sold it was purchased in 2013 by it's current owners who refurbished it, converted into an outstanding wedding venue and opened it up for exclusivity of wedding use in December 2013.

The building itself retains its original charm and character, whilst offering a luxury wedding experience for any wedding couple. The venue now offers a Banqueting Suite which features your own bar and dance floor, transforming into the ideal party space for your guests. The venue also offers a smaller room which suites intimate romantic themed weddings. The venue itself branches out to all styles of couples offering the chance for intimate, large and religious weddings.

This Manor House wedding venue features 14 beautiful guests rooms, along with a honeymoon suite to die for! We were lucky enough to see this ourselves and you really have to see it too. The honeymoon suite features a huge bath with modern decor yet keeping it country themed and quintessentially British. The venue also features a private dressing room for the bride or groom to prepare for their big day. Featuring gold mirrors with much space for a makeup and hair stylist.

The venue itself is local to Petersfield which offers many options for trips out if you want to make a weekend wedding of it all. It's a perfect location if you need more space for your guests offering hotels and rooms to suit all budgets. Visiting local pubs and farms are a must since you are in the South Downs itself! The friendly staff at Southdown's Manor are very knowledgeable of the area and can help you create the perfect day trip for your wedding guests.
